Our Story

Hi! I’m Betzabet Roa, the heart and hands behind Broa’s. What started as a love for baking in my home kitchen has grown into a beloved local bakery serving Detroit and surrounding communities for over 7 years.
Growing up, I learned the art of pastry from my family — traditional recipes passed down through generations. The mille-feuille, tres leches, and pineapple cake you taste today are made with those same authentic techniques and a whole lot of love.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of being part of hundreds of celebrations: first birthdays, quinceañeras, weddings, graduations, and simple Sunday family dinners. Every cake, every cookie, every smile from a child seeing their face painted — that’s why I do this.

Every item is baked from scratch with the same care I give my own family. No shortcuts, ever.
We use real butter, fresh eggs, quality chocolate, and natural flavors. If I wouldn’t eat it, I won’t sell it.
We are proud to serve Detroit, Lincoln Park, Dearborn, Allen Park, and Melvindale. Your community is our community.
